The 'See also' section needs some relevant links adding to it
[edit]In my opinion, the 'See also' section needs some relevant links adding to it as it is currently empty and in my opinion it is pointless having an empty tab within the article. Xboxsponge15 (talk) 21:10, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
Door Eendrachtig Samenwerken Profiteren Allen Regelmatig
[edit]The article gives two different translations for the Dutch phrase "Door Eendrachtig Samenwerken Profiteren Allen Regelmatig":
- "Everyone works better together"
- "Through united co-operation everyone regularly profits"
These mean pretty much the same thing, but it's still confusing to give two different translations. JIP | Talk 23:30, 4 September 2021 (UTC)

SPAR (retailer) → SPAR – Remove disambiguation that is not needed, SPAR already redirects here. PhotographyEdits (talk) 21:57, 13 September 2022 (UTC)

- Oppose I think Spar (retailer) would be more appropriate, given WP:TITLEFORMAT and MOS:TMRULES. As far as I know SPAR isn't an acronym, even though the original DESPAR was, looking at https://spar-international.com/history/. -Kj cheetham (talk) 22:03, 13 September 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose per MOS:TMRULES. We don't use trademarks. Move to Spar (retailer) per Kj cheetham. cookie monster 755 06:56, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose per MOS:TMRULES. Move to Spar (retailer) , not an acronym - see also nl wikipedia etc. In ictu oculi (talk) 10:21, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
- The 1st part of the name was dropped but the rest still really is an acronym. Crouch, Swale (talk) 10:53, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
- My interpretation (I don't have a source to confirm) was that it became a "orphaned initialism". -Kj cheetham (talk) 08:37, 15 September 2022 (UTC)
- I'm unsure either way but given at least the company uses "SPAR" consistently in running text. This is different to Wikipedia for example where the all caps isn't used outside the logo and even Adidas where the all lower case is used consistently in running text but per MOS:TM is a proper noun. If we're unsure what the correct title is per MOSTM then I'd defer to what the trademark owner prefers. Crouch, Swale (talk) 11:36, 18 September 2022 (UTC)

- Oppose. Move to Spar (retailer) instead, per MOS:TMRULES. — Ætoms [talk] 11:28, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose the suggested move. Move to Spar (retailer), per MOS:TMRULES. gidonb (talk) 13:31, 20 September 2022 (UTC)
Inaccuracies regarding BWG Foods and Spar Group.
[edit]Source 26 is talking about Spar group limited ("spar group") not spar international bv ("spar international"), it talks about ceo Graham O' Connor which is ceo of spar group, not spar international. Thus the wikipedia article incorrectly states BWG Foods UC is a subsidiary of spar international. (and BWG Foods UC is owned by BWG Group UC btw) The current wikipedia article fails to mention the south african franchise is owned by spar group, currently it fails to mention if "spar's" means the brand, spar international or spar group.
